Memorial services were held for Tomme Wayne McDonald, 75, a resident of Durant, on Nov. 22, 2022 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Durant.

Tomme Wayne McDonald passed away on Nov. 18, 2022 in Madill, Okla. Tomme was born on March 5, 1947 in Amarillo, Texas to Weldon Tommy McDonald and Elna Ernestine (Green) McDonald.

He graduated from Herscher High School in Herscher, Ill. and furthered is education at West Texas A&M then at Oklahoma University.

Tomme married Shirley Siedentop on December 30, 1966 in Bradley, Ill. They lived in Canyon, Texas while Tomme went to school and later moved to Henryetta where they lived for 18 years.

While in Henryetta, he worked as a Physicians Assistant, was a member of the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce, the Church of Christ and he served on the school board.

They lived in Atoka and Madill from 1992 to 2012 before moving to Durant. Tomme and Shirley shared 49 years of marriage before her passing in January of 2016.

He enjoyed playing the guitar, golfing, fishing, woodworking, sewing and watching his grandchildren play games and was a member of the Senior Men's Golf at Chickasaw Pointe.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley McDonald; parents, Weldon and Elna McDonald and one brother, Michael McDonald.

Tomme is survived by his loving family, son, Mike McDonald and wife Kate of Kenefic, Okla., daughter, Kathy Brown and husband Michael of Sherman, Texas; three grandchildren, Cord McDonald of Kenefic, Okla., Lexi McDonald of Kenefic, Okla. and Paxton Brown of Sherman, Texas. He is also survived by friend, Lois O'Connor of Durant and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family.
