The Henryetta Knights gave fans a thrilling showdown on Tuesday but ultimately fell 9-7 to the Bethel Varsity Wildcats in a back-and-forth contest that saw both teams exchange momentum throughout the game.

Henryetta surged ahead early in the bottom of the first inning after Hunter Bowdler drew a bases-loaded walk, Boston Morris ripped a two-run double, and a steal of home added another score. Morris’s performance at the plate and on the mound stood out, going 1-for-4 with two RBIs and striking out four across five innings as the starter.
The Knights briefly reclaimed the lead in the third inning, taking a 7-4 advantage after capitalizing on Bethel errors and a clutch RBI single from Blaze Hill, who went 2-for-2 on the day.
However, Bethel mounted a late rally in the top of the seventh, capped by Roger Brooks’ two-run triple, a Weston Henry RBI single, and a Paul Villegas double to lock in the final 9-7 margin.
On the mound, Mavrix Randleman took the loss for Henryetta, allowing four runs in 1.1 innings of relief. Brooks earned the win for Bethel, striking out seven in five innings of work.
Henryetta showed discipline at the plate, drawing seven walks, including four by Bowdler. The team also turned one double play defensively.
The Knights were set to play Regent Prep on Thursday.
