Schulter Public Schools held an archery competition for students and staff. Overall Champion was Cherokee Duncan, Middle School Champion was Austin Pina, Faculty Champion was Tammy Thompson and the Robin Hood award was given to Allen Callahan.
The Henryetta Parks Board discussed plans to add different trails to the eastside of Nichols Park. This part of the Park featured 300 acres but was previously undeveloped because of lack of accessibility by vehicle. It was the perfect spot for horseback riding, walking or hiking though.

Dewar baseball players and brothers Leo and Brian Hicks were involved in a rollover accident on Maple St. Leo was ejected from the vehicle and life-flighted to a Tulsa hospital where he died from his injuries. Brian was treated for minor injuries and released. Dewar mourned the loss of a beloved player.
The 2nd Annual All-Indian Basketball Tournament was held at Dewar High School. It featured the best Native American players from around the state. The event also featured a 3 point and a slam dunk contest.
Firefighters battled a large blaze on Wade Wells Drive for over four hours. The occupants were not home and no one was injured in the blaze. The fire was contained to the kitchen however and the rest of the home only suffered water and smoke damage.
