The Dewar Dragons took control early and never looked back in a 12-6 victory over Coweta last Thursday, March 20.
After a three-run first inning by Coweta, the Dragons tied it up in the second with production from Braelin Lewis, Tanner Wilson, and Luke Hankins. Dewar grabbed the lead in the third and then broke the game open in the fifth, scoring five runs on just three hits, highlighted by a bases clearing double from Skelly Taylor.
Taylor also started on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing five runs (only one earned) on four hits with three strikeouts. Luke Hankins came in relief, closing the door with 2.2 shutout innings, striking out three and walking one.

Aidan Tomlinson and Peyton Kilhoffer each drove in three runs, with Tomlinson scoring early and Kilhoffer adding a two-run double in the fifth. Braelin Lewis smashed a two-run home run to left, part of a six-run fifth inning. Dewar stole seven bases and turned another double play in an allaround strong performance.
Vinton Goff picked up the win, throwing three innings with no earned runs. Stoney Yaeger closed the game with two scoreless innings and three strikeouts.
