Beggs held a 4-3 lead heading into the final frame before Ada’s Keith Cook delivered a two-run homer to left field, shifting the momentum and sealing the win for the Cougars.
Ada struck first in the second inning when Cade Stick doubled in a run, followed by a sacrifice fly from Seth Flinn.
The Golden Demons responded in the sixth inning, erupting for four runs. Lane Kelly’s two-run double gave Beggs its first lead, while Kevin Monteque’s RBI single and a fielder’s choice groundout brought in another. Jerrett Hammer took the mound for Beggs, tossing seven innings while allowing five runs (three earned) on seven hits. He struck out five and walked two.
Monteque led the Demons with a 2-for-3 night, while Kelly and Carson Cooper each drove in a run.
For Ada, Cook and Stick both had two hits, while the team’s defense turned a crucial double play late in the game.

Dallas Wilson opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning before Beggs tacked on more in the second, including a steal of home by Jaxon Remington and a costly Eisenhower error. Britton Martin was stellar on the mound, tossing six shutout innings while allowing only three hits. He struck out seven and walked two.
Ranson Stephens and Owen Holland each drove in a run for Beggs, which also showcased aggressive baserunning with four stolen bases.
Eisenhower’s offense was limited to three hits, but Gordon, Trachte, and Noah each recorded one.
