Henryetta got on the board in the second inning with an RBI single by Connor Matlock. The Knights steadily built their lead, accumulating 12 hits in the game.
Okmulgee’s Jordan Deere pitched a complete game, allowing 12 hits and seven runs (six earned) over six innings while striking out two. Meanwhile, Henryetta’s Tayler Hamric was dominant on the mound, giving up just two hits and no runs over three innings, striking out six.
Despite the loss, the Bulldogs showed offensive sparks. Jax Finch led the way, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs, while Brandon Simon and Javeion Wilson also collected two hits each. The Bulldogs aggressively ran the bases, stealing four bases, including two from Deere.
Henryetta’s Mavrix Randleman, Will Perez, Tayler Hamric, and Blaze Hill each had two hits, with four different Knights driving in runs. Henryetta capitalized on their speed, swiping 12 bases in the game.
The Bulldogs will look to bounce back as they head to Kellyville for their next matchup on Tuesday.
