Henryetta’s own Dr. Susan Graham has been named Henryettan of the Year, a well-deserved honor recognizing her unwavering commitment to healthcare, youth mentorship and community service.
The award has been presented annually by the Henryetta Free-Lance since 1949. At last Saturday’s banquet, Annette James accepted the award on behalf of Dr. Graham.

grew up in a family rooted in strong values, with parents Paul and Joan Klimek, alongside her brother Josh and sister Kristal. Inspired by Kristal’s dedication to nursing, Susan pursued a career in healthcare - a journey that would shape the lives of countless people in and around Henryetta.
--- A Passion for Healthcare
Dr. Graham began her career as a Registered Nurse (RN), providing compassionate bedside care in the Henryetta Hospital Emergency Room and later serving in administration at Henryetta Hospital and Oklahoma Surgical Hospital. However, her commitment to healthcare didn’t stop there—she pursued higher education and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice - APRN from The University of Tulsa (TU).
Determined to bring quality, accessible healthcare to her hometown, Dr. Graham co-founded Hometown Healthcare Solution in 2022 alongside her sister, Kristal Moore, and brother- in-law, Paul Moore. This locally owned urgent care and family practice now serves a 100-mile radius, ensuring families across the region have a trusted healthcare provider close to home. • Chloe Klimek, transcriptionist --- A Champion for Local Youth & Athletics Beyond her remarkable contributions to healthcare, Dr. Graham is an avid supporter of local athletics. She volunteers her time as the athletic trainer for Henryetta Public Schools, ensuring student-athletes receive proper medical care and injury prevention support. Additionally, she assists with the Henryetta High School girls basketball team, offering both medical expertise and mentorship.
Her passion for youth sports extends into the summer months, where she coaches an AAU basketball team, providing young female athletes from Henryetta, Morris, Dewar and Okemah a positive, encouraging environment to develop their skills and love for the game. Her impact on these young athletes goes beyond the court, instilling lessons of hard work, discipline and teamwork. --- Family & Community Spirit Dr. Graham is a devoted wife to Jason Brandt and a loving mother to three sons - Bryton, Nolan and Corbyn Edmundson - and two bonus daughters, Kelsie and Lauren. She treasures her time spent attending local sporting events to cheer on Corbyn, her nieces, nephews and even her patients.
Her favorite sports include football, basketball, cheerleading, track and softball, and you’ll often find her on the sidelines, supporting student-athletes with the same enthusiasm and dedication she brings to her professional work. Whether traveling with her family or attending Henryetta’s local events, Dr. Graham’s presence is a constant reminder of her love for her hometown.
