Sample ballots are now available for the March 4 election. Voters can download a sample ballot using the State Election Board OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/ elections/ovp or pick up a copy at the Okmulgee County Election Board during regular business hours.
Okmulgee County Election Board Secretary Ashley Carnes reminds voters that sample ballots are specific to each person.
“If the OK Voter Portal indicates that you have no sample ballots available, it means you are not eligible to vote in an upcoming election,” Carnes said. “We recommend checking the OK Voter Portal to make sure you have an election before heading to the polls.”
Carnes said sample ballots will also be posted outside every precinct polling place on Election Day, so voters can review them before casting their votes.
The Okmulgee County Election Board is located at 314 W. 7th Street, Room 102, in Okmulgee and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For questions, please contact the Election Board at 918-7562365 or OkmulgeeCounty@elections.ok.gov.

— Request an Emergency Ballot for March 4 Election Registered voters who become physically incapacitated after 5 p.m. Monday, February 17, and are unable to make it to the polls, still have an opportunity to cast their ballot.
Okmulgee County Election Board Secretary Ashley Carnes said that state law permits voters who become emergency incapacitated after 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, to vote under special provisions. Carnes said emergency incapacitation is something most voters don’t think about. “Voting is our constitutional right, but life happens. Injury, illness, or even childbirth can prevent a voter from being able to go to the polls. That’s why it’s important to make sure voters know their rights in the event of an emergency.”
If you or someone you know becomes physically incapacitated after 5 p.m. Feb. 17, contact your County Election Board as soon as possible. Carnes said Election Board officials will work with you to make sure you have all of the necessary information to cast your ballot. Information can also be found on the Oklahoma State Election Board website at oklahoma.gov/ elections.
