The Henryetta Board of Education convened for its regular meeting on Feb. 10, as the members received updates from around the district.
Following the reports, the board moved forward with a series of agenda items, all of which were approved unanimously:
• Approval of Minutes: The board voted to approve the minutes from the Jan. 13 Special Board Meeting, as well as the Jan. 30 meeting.
• Financial Adjustments: The board discussed and approved a change order from the General Fund to the Building Fund in the amount of $42,000.00 to accommodate necessary facility upgrades.
• Encumbrances and Financial Reports: The board reviewed and approved all encumbrances and financial reports for the 2024-25 school year.
• Fundraisers: Several fundraisers for the 2024-25 academic year were proposed and approved to support student programs and extracurricular activities.
• Dropout and College Remediation Reports: School principals presented the annual dropout report for grades 7-12 and the annual college remediation report, providing insight into student retention and post-secondary preparedness.
The board entered an executive session under 25 O.S. Section 307(B)(1) to discuss personnel matters. Upon returning to open session, the board acknowledged that no action was taken during the executive session.
Following the executive session, the board voted to approve the superintendent personnel addendum, which included staff adjustments and new hires to support the district’s needs.
A big congratulations to the H-Town Theatre on a wonderful production of “Cinderella” with the final curtain call on Sunday afternoon. There were packed audiences and lots of community support for outstanding work of the cast, crew, Director Liz Bealko, Coach Justin Been and all involved.
