What you might not know, though ... is that not only an animal lover and face of our organization, she is a lover and creator of music and art! As she places more focus back to her craft and love for creating, we have welcomed a new hire to the team.
Please give a warm welcome to our incoming part-time VP of Operations-Interim Executive Director, Sarah Cockburn.
Sarah has worked in the veterinary medical field since 2005, originally starting out as a veter- inary assistant, then moving into customer service. She is now the practice manager at Woodland West Animal Hospital and is involved in other professionally capacities as well. She lives on a ranch in Okmulgee and has several animals including horses, cows, goats, emus, alpacas, pigs, poultry, dogs and cats. She is so excited for this new role with OCHS, to work closely with our community and animals, and to build up the organization.
Alongside our board, Sarah will be building a team to lead OCHS into our new adoption center, which is set to undergo construction beginning this spring and be complete this year.
Welcome to OCHS, Sarah!
