Behind a stellar performance from Anthony Wind Jr., the Wilson Tigers secured a 51-45 victory over Glenpool on Saturday night. Wind Jr. led the way with 17 points, lifting Wilson past their tough opponent.
After trailing 26-22, Wilson went on a game-changing 13-0 run, seizing momentum and taking control. The Tigers had a particularly strong first half, leading 33-26 at the break and maintaining their advantage through the final buzzer.
Wilson’s offense excelled inside the paint, converting 13 of 25 two-point attempts. Za’brien Shelburn and Wind Jr. both contributed from beyond the arc, with the team collectively shooting 6-18 (33%) from three-point range.
Defensively, Wilson was dominant, tallying 14 steals and four blocked shots. They also controlled the rebounding battle, pulling down 26 boards, with Charles Shelburn leading the effort with nine rebounds.
Additional contributions came from Zion Shelburn (9 points), Ke’shon Shelburn (8 points), Za’brien Shelburn (8 points), Andrew Wilson (5 points) and Charles Shelburn (4 points).
