The Henryetta Free-Lance is issuing a final call for nominations for the coveted Henryettan of the Year award, honoring those who have dedicated their time, talent and efforts to make Henryetta a stronger, more vibrant community. Reflecting on the past year, residents are encouraged to consider individuals whose selfless acts and community spirit have enriched Henryetta. The award seeks to highlight those who work tirelessly to uplift local schools, community organizations and the city as a whole.
Nominees can be from Henryetta or surrounding areas, provided their efforts have benefitted the Henryetta community. This inclusive approach ensures that all those who contribute to the city’s progress, even from nearby towns, have the opportunity to be recognized.
— How to Submit Nominations
Those wishing to nominate someone should provide a detailed description of the nominee’s contributions and reasons why they deserve to be named Henryettan of the Year 2024. Past volunteer efforts may also be included to offer a comprehensive view of the nominee’s dedication to community service.
Submissions can be sent via email to the Free-Lance at denise@cookson.news or patrick@bigbasinllc. com. The deadline for nominations has been extended through Jan. 5.
For nearly 75 years, the Henryettan of the Year award has honored the dedication, service and community pride of remarkable citizens.
The winner will be announced at the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce annual banquet early in 2025.
