A Henryetta man pleaded guilty this week to possessing dynamite despite a prior felony conviction.
Steven William Burden, 46, admitted Tuesday to being a felon in possession of an explosive. Federal prosecutors said Burden knowingly possessed 31 semi-gelatin dynamite sticks on Nov. 16, 2020, in violation of federal law.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives led the investigation with assistance from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Tulsa Po- lice Department.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Jason A. Robertson accepted Burden’s plea in the Eastern District of Oklahoma and ordered the preparation of a pre-sentence report. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua Satter represents the government in the case.
