SEE HENRYETTAN OF THE YEAR, PAGE A3 initiated by the Free-Lance in 1949, celebrates exemplary volunteerism and community contributions, recognizing citizens whose actions have made a significant impact on Henryetta and its surrounding areas.
Reflecting on the past year, residents are encouraged to consider individuals whose selfless acts and community spirit have enriched Henryetta. The award seeks to highlight those who work tirelessly to uplift local schools, community organizations, and the city as a whole. Whether they’ve spearheaded community events, supported school initiatives, or volunteered through various organizations, the Henryettan of the Year award aims to honor individuals whose positive influence has made a meaningful difference.
Nominees can be from Henryetta or surrounding areas, provided their efforts have benefitted the Henryetta community. This inclusive approach ensures that all those who contribute to the city’s progress, even from nearby towns, have the opportunity to be recognized.

Those wishing to nominate someone should provide a detailed description of the nominee’s contributions and reasons why they deserve to be named Henryettan of the Year 2024. Past volunteer efforts may also be included to offer a comprehensive view of the nominee’s dedication to community service.

For nearly 75 years, the Henryettan of the Year award has honored the dedication, service and community pride of remarkable citizens. By nominating someone today, residents can help continue this tradition of recognizing those who embody the best of Henryetta’s values.
The winner will be announced at the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce annual banquet early in 2025.
