The Henryetta Board of Education covered a full agenda addressing topics related to district improvements, accreditation updates, policy revisions, and upcoming events. With Superintendent Jason Price at the helm, meeting kicked off with reports from various school officials, providing the board with updates on significant activities and concerns across the district. These reports included insights from the Henryetta Education Support Association (HESA), the Henryetta Education Association (HEA), as well as updates from district principals, counselors and Maintenance.
Superintendent Price began his report by highlighting recent initiatives aimed at improving the district’s child nutrition program and cafeteria operations. The district has been working closely with child nutrition, to assess and enhance the quality of food services provided to students. In particular.
Updates were provided on the FFA and their National status, the Esports team and visits by students to Green Country Technology Center, and to Tulsa, with a tour through the Greenwood District.
A unique component of this effort is the district’s emphasis on maintaining a quiet environment in shared spaces, such as the gym, during special events. This measure is intended to foster a positive atmosphere conducive to student engagement and community involvement.
