After a strong start to the season, the Wilson Tigers faced their first defeat, falling 64-26 to the undefeated Weleetka Outlaws on the road. Despite impressive performances from brothers Isaac and Isaiah Drake, the Tigers couldn’t keep pace with the dominant Outlaws.
Isaac Drake made his presence felt with 238 total yards and four touchdowns, while Isaiah Drake rushed for 168 yards and two scores, averaging an impressive 7.3 yards per carry. With his performance, Isaac is now averaging 124 rushing yards per game for the season. Bryant Sites also contributed with 107 total yards and two touchdowns.
The Tigers, now 3-1, will look to regroup with a break before their next game on Oct. 10, when they host Webbers Falls. Weleetka improved to 4-0 and will look to continue their winning streak at home against Keota on Friday.
