Board of Education to meet Thursday

The Henryetta Board of Education will hold a special meeting Thursday, Sept. 26, at 12 noon at the Board of Education Office, located at 1600 W. Gentry in Henryetta.

Key agenda items include the following:

• Opening of Property Sale Bids: The board will discuss and potentially take action on bids for the sale of a property located at Lot 1 in Block 38 of the Original Townsite of Henryetta, Okmulgee County. This decision could lead to the sale of Henryetta Public Schools property, pending the outcome of the bid review.

• Financial Review: The board will also review financial matters and encumbrances for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.

• Staffing Decisions: Two personnel matters will be considered. The board will discuss and take possible action on employing one paraprofessional and one extra-duty head wrestling coach for the 20242025 school year.

-The public is encouraged to attend and stay informed about decisions impacting the district.
