The Henryetta Knight Brigade has been busy with practice, fundraisers, mum sale and delivery, and this week traveled to Oklahoma City to participate in the Band Day Competition. Pictured is the band as they performed last Friday during halftime at the Beggs-Henryetta game. With Homecoming just around the corner, Director Alan Montgomery, the Knight Brigade and the booster club reminds the community about the Shoe Drive that is underway. Help them earn money by donating used, gently worn, or new pairs of shoes. Donations can be dropped off at the band room or contact a band member or band parent to arrange pick up. Shoes will be recycled and distributed to micro-entrepreneurs in developing countries to help alleviate poverty. The drive continues through Oct. 12. Please no single, broken shoes or ones with holes.
