Christy Jeffcoat, a former member of the Henryetta City Council, was appointed to serve as a trustee of the Henryetta Economic Development Authority.
During Monday’s meeting, the HEDA board heard from Jeffcoat as she presented her resume for consideration.
She is very active in the community, serves on the Chamber of Commerce board, and heads up numerous activities, including the Cruise Knight events that are held three times during the year.
Jeffcoat has previous experience serving as a trustee on the HEDA board as she represented the City of Henryetta while serving on the council.
Her appointment was unanimously accepted.
Also during the session, the board heard updates from City Manager David Bullard on street projects.
They also approved CD rates for maturing CD, accepting the rate from American Exchange Bank.
HEDA meets the second Monday of each month at 10 a.m.
The Henryetta City Council and Henryetta Municipal Authority will hold their regular meetings at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Henryetta City Hall as they discuss pertinent information related to city business.
