Five fire departments responded to a massive blaze at a salvage yard in Schulter. The fire, sparked by workers cutting driveshafts off junk cars, led to several explosions, including the detonation of oxygen and acetylene tanks. A large car packer valued at $100,000 was destroyed in the inferno.
