On Aug. 19, the Lady The Wilson Lady Tigers softball team has been on an impressive run this season under the guidance of Coach Taiah Proctor. Their strong performance, marked by key victories Tigers hit the road for a doubleheader against Calvin and Coleman. The team secured an 18-3 victory over Calvin, followed by a tight 3-2 win against Coleman. These back-to-back victories highlighted the Lady Tigers’ ability to perform under pressure and adapt to different opponents.
The team faced a mix of results on Aug. 22, competing in the Okmulgee Softball Tournament, beginning with a commanding 10-0 win over Mounds. However, they encountered a tough opponent in Muldrow, resulting in a 6-4 loss. The Lady Tigers quickly bounced back, defeating Liberty 11-0 the next day, but narrowly lost to Checotah 4-3 in a hard-fought game.
On Monday, the Lady Tigers traveled just down the road to Weleetka, where they handed the ladies a loss, 7-5.
Despite the ups and downs, the Wilson Lady Tigers have proven themselves to be a formidable team this season.
