Arrest made
An investigation is underway in a shooting incident that happened Sunday evening in Henryetta.
Details are sparse, but according to Sheriff Eddy Rice, there was a report of a drive-by shooting, in which his department assisted the Okmulgee County District 25 Violent Task Force Unit.
Rice added that the agency did make an arrest in the incident, which reportedly injured a man. OCCJA records show Anthony Hernandez, 19, was booked into the facility on June 3, where he is being held on a complaint of Shooting with Intent to Kill. District court documents stated his bond has been set at $50,000.
In another unrelated case, Sheriff Eddy Rice stated that over the weekend, a decomposed body was discovered near Interstate 40 and Hwy. 75 “that had been there for a while.” The sheriff added that it may have been a homeless person, and that initial investigations did not show any type of foul play or that the body had been dumped at the location.
