Lions, Rotary ready for kickball

The Henryetta Lions and Rotary Clubs are excited about an upcoming fundraiser.

The Henryetta Lions and Rotary Clubs are excited about an upcoming fundraiser. It promises to be an epic showdown as the two clubs will face each other in a kickball game. Approval for the event was given at Tuesday’s city council meeting. Tickets are now on sale from any member of both clubs, or they can be paid online. A QR code is available on advertising posters, or on Facebook on the respective group pages. The event will begin at 4 p.m. at Nichols Park July 6. The cost is $5 and children 12 and under are free. Food trucks will be on hand and there will be halftime games. A special treat will be fireworks after the show, presented by Highway 62 Fireworks. Proceeds will benefit the Henryetta Historical Society. --- Henryetta Lions Club Meeting The Henryetta Lions Club convened for their recent meeting, attended by members and a special guest, Bridgette Smith, daughter of Donnie and Lou Ann Smith. Announcements: • Meal Mob for May: Members are encouraged to dine at Mona’s and 75 Social, wear their Lion swag, and share photos on Facebook to support local businesses. • Lion T-Shirts: Members can order unisex Lions Club and Meal Mob t-shirts from Kate’s, available in sizes small through 4XL via the provided link. • Rotary vs. Lions Kickball Game: Scheduled for July 6, members are urged to obtain tickets from Lion Lindsey McKinney.
