The Henryetta Public School board met Monday evening, considering agenda items in preparation for the upcoming school year.
Among the items approved were the hiring of Mason Collette, for the high school special education and coaching position.
Several policies and agreements were approved include:
• Policy on Use of Metal Detectors for the 2024-2025 school year.
• Muscogee Nation Head Start Agreement for the 2024-2025 school year.
• Contract between J & J School Services and Henryetta Public Schools to complete the necessary documents for districts Impact Aid Program 2024–2025 school year.
• Renewal Contract with CRW Consulting E-Rate Services, LLC Program Year 2025.
• Renewal Contract between Imagine Learning and Henryetta Public Schools for the 20242025 school year.
• Service Agreement Renewal with OSSBA for the 2024-2025 school year.
• Membership Renewal Agreement with OSSBA for the 20242025 school year.
• Policy Renewal Agreement with OSSBA for the 2024-2025 school year.
The HPS board also rescinded action at the March 11, meeting where they approved the H.E.S.A. negotiations for the 2324 school year. They did agree to a new agreement with no chang- es from the 2022-2023 agreement except for a $1 per hour increase in base salary for special education paraprofessionals and teacher assistants.
Resignations/retirements accepted were: Kelly Furer, Rick Enis and Harlena Fry.
The site principals gave a recap of the end of school activities; while Maintenance Director Harold Fox gave an update on upcoming upgrades to the air condition system at the high school.
The board members gave their final comments, thanking district staff for their hard work during the year, and are looking forward to the H-Town Theatre presentation this weekend, along with the upcoming school year.
