We are excited to announce after Friday, May 17, the Okmulgee County Humane Society will move offices from the Okmulgee City Animal Shelter to 115 S. Muskogee Ave. in downtown Okmulgee. Our new phone number will be published as soon as it is established.
In our new office, we will still be able to give pet food to those in need and continue to assist with our community services as funds are available: Community Medical Assistance, TNR (Trap-Neuter- Return) and Low Cost Spay and Neuter. We will still hold adoptions for the animals we have in foster homes and boarding. We will continue to work closely with the City of Okmulgee in saving animals from the city shelter.
This move will help us establish our identity as a no-kill nonprofit rescue as well as assist us in giving more focus to the renovation of our new facility. OCHS will provide more information, guidance and direction in the coming weeks. Please continue to follow us on Facebook and visit our website at www.okmulgeehumane.org to see all our adoptables. We thank you for all your continued care, support and donations.
