Scott Harding was named Executive Director of Eastern Oklahoma Development District effective Jan. 1.

Harding began his career at EODD as a Longterm Care Ombudsman in 2012 and was promoted within the first year to Ombudsman Supervisor. Last year, he took a new position with EODD as a Community and Economic Development Specialist.

Prior to coming to work at EODD, he worked 10 years in management, including several years in the healthcare field. Harding earned a bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in Political Science from Northeastern State University. He is married to Tawnee Harding and together they have two children. He is a longtime resident of Wagoner. Scott always has a huge garden, is a great cook and likes to travel.

Harding’s background and experience made it a natural transition for him to move into the Executive Director position. He will be a great asset to the Economic and Community Development in the seven-county district of Adair, Cherokee, McIntosh, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Sequoyah and Wagoner Counties.
