Phyllis Sue (Jackson) Wilson, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 31, 2023. She was born on March 21, 1938, in Henryetta. Phyllis is survived by her only sibling, Mickey Jackson; her son, Ronald J. Wilson; her daughter, Ronda (Wilson) Wiest; 4 grandchildren and 5 1/2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Edward Jackson, and her mother, Lucille Virginia (Shinn) Jackson.
Phyllis attended Henryetta High School and was a majorette in the State champion Henryetta High School band, marching in the Rose Bowl parade of 1956. After graduating high school, Phyllis began her career at Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator in Henryetta. She later moved to Tulsa, where she continued to work for Southwestern Bell while attending secretarial school at Oklahoma State University Tech & Tulsa University. Afterwards, she became a corporate secretary at Sinclair Oil. In 1961, Phyllis started a family and dedicated her time to raising her children. In later years, she worked as an Emergency Room admitting clerk and secretary to the President of Westminster Theological Seminary.
Phyllis was a member of the Church of the Nazarene for over 60 years. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and family, creating lasting memories along the way.
