The 8th annual Harlan Ford Toy Drive once again brought out the love from the Okmulgee County area (even beyond) as individuals, organizations, churches and businesses donated thousands of gifts that will be donated to area children. Donations were even being made Monday morning, as 10 truck beds full of bikes and toys were escorted by the Okmulgee Police from Harlan Ford to First United Methodist Church in Okmulgee. The DHS staff, Rotary Club members and other volunteers assisted in unloading the gifts, which will be delivered in time for Christmas. Okmulgee Walmart donated three truckloads of bikes, along with helmets, to the drive. Other organizations making donations over the last few days, just to name a few, included Mabrey Bank, First National Bank, Jan & Fran Colombin, Brasier’s Bar & Lounge, Leman Louis Sr. with Landmark for All Generations, Covington Aircraft, Barksdale Law Firm, Chance Hinson and family and Tabitha Garrison and Calvary Faith Church of Ft. Gibson. A huge thanks to everyone involved and those making donations and the various collection sites in Morris, Beggs, Henryetta and Okmulgee.
