In first grade, Nick wrote stories and made drawings to go along with them. He attended Trinity School, an independent preparatory co-educational day school for K-12 grades in the Manhattan district of New York City.
Before starting his career in writing, he worked at a children’s bookstore in New York City during the day, and at night, he was creating and selling cartoons to various magazines.

He and his wife Carina and daughter Isabel live in Tarrytown with their cat Esmerelda. Nick’s hobbies are collecting PEZ dispensers and growing tomatoes in his backyard.
