‘The Polar Express’ coming to Civic Center Saturday
More holiday cheer is coming this weekend as the Henryetta Chamber will host a Christmas movie, ‘The Polar Express.’ The screening will be held at the Civic Center Saturday, Dec. 9, from 12-4 p.m.
The whole ‘Polar Express’ experience will provide fun for all and is completely free. According to Chamber Director Genny Mooney, there will be slices of pizza with Santa, cookie decorating, a hot chocolate bar and then the ‘Polar Express’ movie. The Polar Express conductor will be present and attendees will receive a golden ticket and small prize after the movie.
Rheba’s Buds & Blooms will host Christmas crafts with the adults while the kids are watching the movie. For $20, participants can walk away with a custom- made Christmas craft.
-For those craving more Christmas parades, be sure to check out the Okmulgee Festival of Lights event tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. in downtown Okmulgee. Over 50 entries will be featured in the parade, which includes a sensory sensitive portion with less lights and no sound.
From 5-6:30 p.m., Santa will be on hand for photos inside the foyer of the Creek Council House Museum.
On Saturday, Dec. 16, both the Morris and Beggs communities will hold their Christmas parade events. The City of Beggs will hold their Jingle Bell Days, which includes music, a Christmas market and drawings to win money for shopping at participating businesses.
