The Henryetta Chamber of Commerce has registered the community with American Express for their Shop Small Saturday campaign.
Small Business Saturday is a nationwide movement, founded by American Express, that brings attention to the importance of supporting small businesses in communities across America.
Shop Small Business Saturday is Nov. 25, and several events have been planned in the community.
A Small Business Showcase, presented by 2 Sassy Skirts, will be held inside the Briefcase, 313 W. Main Street, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Businesses featured will offer specials and discounts, and give shoppers an opportunity to walk away with some great deals.
Also that day, the Chamber of Commerce will have their Cookie Crawl & Bingo. Attendees can obtain a list of stores that are participating, along with a cookie box and Bingo card. Boxes and cards can also be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce office.
A list of participating businesses will be provided soon along with more information on the event.
For more information on being a part of the Business Showcase, contact Tara Matthews at 918-6502779 or Christy Jeffcoat at 918-694-7167.
For information on the Cookie Crawl, contact the Chamber of Commerce and check their Facebook page for updates.
The Henryetta Chamber of Commerce is seeking help from the community to tie in with the theme of the Christmas parade this year, “Christmas Traditions.”
The Chamber would love to hear local, unique stories about your family’s traditions, whether while you were growing up, or currently using.
Please submit your story by email to: henryettachamber@ att.net. The various stories will be featured by video that will be played the evening of the Christmas Parade and Hallmark Christmas, which is Dec. 2.
Stay tuned for more information about the upcoming festivities, and be watching for window decorating taking place for downtown businesses.
