Velma Bagby, 91, died Monday morning, November 6, 2023. Mother Bagby’s Celebratory Service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11 a.m. at The Refuge Church, 1206 W. 5th St. in Okmulgee. Elder R.E. Huff, Jr., Pastor of Northside Church of God in Christ, will officiate and Pastor Briarsen Burke, Pastor of St. James Church of God in Christ of Ada, will deliver the eulogy. Visitation in the Chapel of Peace of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc. of Okmulgee, will be held Friday from 1-6 p.m. Visitation will take place Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at The Refuge Church. The casket will not be opened at the conclusion of the celebration.
