Morris’ Wilson finishes 24th in 3A race
Two Okmulgee County athletes competed at this past Saturday’s Class 3A state cross country championships at Edmond Santa Fe High School.
Morris senior Bryce Wilson concluded his high school cross country career with a 24th-place finish in the Boys 5K race. The Eagle runner came across the finish line in a time of 17:30.14.
The other county runner to compete at last Saturday’s state meet was Beggs freshman Isaiah Clay. Clay finished in the middle of the 167-runner field in 87th with a time of 19:26.05.
Casady High School was crowned the team state champion in Class 3A with 47 team points, while Community Christian junior Levi Haynes took home the individual state championship medal in Class 3A with a time of 16:21.12.
