Henryetta and Morris Public Schools are celebrating their respective Homecomings with various events planned.
To kick off this week, both district students and staff participated in themed dress days.
Henryetta High School theme days began Monday with the Battle of the Neons, with each grade level sporting a different neon color. Yesterday was “Anything But a Backpack,” during which students bring their school supplies in anything but the traditional backpack.
Today, high schoolers will dress as their favorite character, celebrity or meme. On Thursday, it’s “Rhyme With- out Reason” – dress up as things that rhyme without a reason, such as parrot and carrot.
Friday is Spirit Day, with Black and Gold as the theme.
Other grade levels are also holding themed days this week.
The parade will be held at 7 p.m. at the football field, with a pep rally to follow.
In the event of rain, the parade and pep rally will be moved to the new gym parking lot.
