It’s Gumbo Time!
Mayor Leon Anderson of the Town of Grayson invites the public to attend their annual Gumbo Festival this Saturday, Oct. 7, beginning at 11 a.m.
The festival is the town’s main fundraiser, and those funds are important in helping maintain Grayson’s annual obligations.
Besides the good food, there will be a raffle, bounce house for the children, socializing and other vendors.
The event will be held at the Grayson Community Center, 24160 Martin Luther King, in Grayson. Filé Gumbo will be $12 and Seafood Gumbo will be $15, and both are served with rice, dessert and a drink.
The festival is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include: • Various Vendors
• Visitors Center showcasing the history of the Town of Grayson
• Car Display
• Motorcycles
• Kids Corner
• Music & More A Turkey Shoot will take place from 12-2 p.m. Shells will be provided (12, 16 and 20 Gauge).
A 50/50 Drawing & Quilt Raffle will take place at 3 p.m.
