Henryettan to Play Star Role in Tulsa Musical

Henryetta High School alumni Makayla Baxter is all set to perform in the Broadway musical “Beautiful: The Carol King Musical,” which opens Friday, Sept. 15 and runs through Oct. 1. The Theatre Tulsa performance of the Tony and Grammy award-winning musical showcases the journey of Carole King, played by Baxter. King went from very humble beginnings, to become one of the top songwriters and recording artists. Baxter, a 2018 graduate of Henryetta High School, has performed in several productions, and is also joined by another Henryetta alumni, Zachary Thomas.
