The 2023 Okmulgee County Free Fair officially kicks off tomorrow at the Okmulgee County Fairgrounds. The event continues through Saturday.
During the fair, visitors will be able to see many displays, arts, crafts, quilts, plants, food and animals.
The Family Fun Festival is also on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Judging is already underway for several exhibits, including the cattle grading and plant show.
The fair opens at 10 a.m. Thursday and then Friday and Saturday at 9 a.m.
Participants including lots of county 4-H and FFA members, along with OHCE groups, have worked very hard to make sure this year’s event is even bigger.
The Jerry Shoemake Award, which is a $1,000 cash prize, will be given to the top exhibitor from 4-H or FFA.
