A Henryetta principal’s random act of kindness gained local and national attention this week. When Kaisley Blake, a 5-year-old student at Henryetta Public Schools, accidentally swallowed her tooth during lunch, Principal Roger Williams jumped into action – not to administer the Heimlich, but to ensure that she received proper payment from the Tooth Fairy.
Kaisley’s father Worren Blake said she thought the burger she was eating just had seeds, before feeling the gap her tooth previously filled. A bit upset, she showed Principal Williams, who went to his office and wrote a letter to the Tooth Fairy, one that Kaisley could use as proof of loss. She was soon compensated for the missing tooth, and the story has since become a national feel good piece.
