Zoellner gives update on CERF grant
The Okmulgee County Board of Commissioners tabled action on accepting two separate bids during their weekly meeting.
During the session, the board opened bids for a 2006 or older Pumper Truck for the Nuyaka Fire Department. This included bids from Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus, Light ‘em Up Emergency Equipment, and Command Fire Apparatus.
While firefighters in attendance were invited to take a look at the bids, the board moved to table any action until the department had a chance to look over the submitted bids. One bid was received for a bid on a 2022 or newer truck for the Grayson Fire Department, but action on this was tabled as well.
An Invitation to rebid for two or more or more 2015 or newer day Cab trucks was then approved. No bids were previously submitted on the items.

Commissioner Erik Zoellner also said that the CERF grant discussed at last week’s meeting is not applicable to the county.
Previously, Zoellener discussed using the Okmulgee County Equipment Revolving Fund request FY 2024 CERF-100 form to request equipment such as a new road chipper, aggregate crusher, and distributor truck.
“I thought it might have been, but it’s really more intended for poorer counties.” he said.
