GCTC achieves Gold Star status
Green Country Technology Center (GCTC) is thrilled to announce its recent recognition as a Gold Star school by the Oklahoma Association for Career and Technology Education (Oklahoma ACTE). This prestigious award highlights GCTC’s dedication to excellence in education and its exceptional programs that cater to a diverse range of community needs.
The Gold Star program, initiated by the Oklahoma ACTE, is designed to honor technology center districts that meet stringent and rigorous criteria, showcasing an exceptional standard of quality and accomplishment. GCTC’s Gold Star status underscores its commitment to providing top-notch education, industry-relevant training, and a comprehensive approach to addressing the evolving needs of its community.
This achievement holds a special significance for GCTC, as it marks the first time the center has received the Gold Star school status. The journey towards this recognition began five years ago when GCTC set the ambitious goal of attaining this distinction. Through unwavering dedication, collaborative efforts, and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence, GCTC has proudly achieved this milestone.
Superintendent Roger King expressed his pride in the achievement, saying, “I am very proud of our present and past staff, students, and business and industry partners. We set this as a district goal five years ago, and we’ve accomplished it! Great job, GCTC team!”
