A special one woman concert is planned for next weekend at the Orpheum Theatre. ‘A Night With Winnie’ is being presented by the Okmulgee Community Theatre Aug. 26, at 7 p.m.
This concert will feature Winnie (Cooper) Hampton, who is known around the area for her vocal talents.
She will be presenting a mixture of both old and new tunes, show tunes and original songs.
“Winnie will turn the Orpheum Theatre into a cabaret,” Okmulgee Community Theatre Director Fay Tipton said. Some have never had the pleasure of hearing her and it promises to be a stunning show.
Winnie is no newcomer to the Orpheum stage as she has performed in several productions, including Okmulgee’s Got Talent.
Admission will be $7 (under 12 free).
The Orpheum Theatre is located at 210 W. 7th Street in Okmulgee.
