Inside today’s issue is the special section for the Okmulgee County Free Fair.
The event is Sept. 7-9 at the Okmulgee County Fairgrounds. During the fair, visitors will be able to see many displays, arts, crafts, quilts, plants, food and animals.
The section contains the rules and regulations for participants who will be competing as 4-H and FFA members, along with County OHCE groups.
There is also information about other things that will be happening during the fair which is open to the public.
The staff, students and clubs have worked very hard to make this year even bigger.
A special award will be given this year.
The Jerry Shoemake Award, which is $1,000 cash prize, will be given to the top exhibitor from 4-H or FFA.
Be sure to keep looking in future editions of the Times for information and features on the fair and some of the participants and their categories in which they are competing.
