As a candidate for Principal Chief of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation (MCN), I have shared a platform which includes revisiting the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) issue. In midyear 2020, after the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) ruled in favor of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation in the case of McGirt v. the State of Oklahoma, the MCN leadership made no major changes as to how the Nation would conduct business with the State of Oklahoma regarding ICWA.
