Ron Jenkins is lucky winner
We all get them in the mail - those big flyers from car dealerships claiming you won a prize, only to get there and receive nothing or a smaller prize than expected.
In fact, no one who went to the sale won any of the bigger prizes. Well, one local car dealership set out to change that.
Luv Ford in Henryetta recently sent out mail piece events, but this one had a twist.
“I have done a couple of these and have al- ways wanted to sign a big check to someone,” Brad Nash, Dealer Principal of Luv Ford, said. “I have found that a lot of these event companies send out lots of mail, and while they always send out winning numbers, those select pieces find themselves three states away. We researched and found one of the few companies to send all pieces, including the winning numbers, in the area. That’s a big deal; however, the odds that the winner actually shows up is small.”
Though its important to the dealer to sell cars, Nash added that “if someone is looking to buy one soon, it gives us (the opportunity) to showcase our big city inventory in our little crossroads in Oklahoma and show off our great staff in sales and service.”
Nash added “our big prize was $20k this time and turns out that the winner was within a five block area of downtown Henryetta.”
Luv Ford decided to make sure there was a big winner. So, if the winner did not present themselves, they would draw a name from everyone who did show for $10,000.
No purchase was necessary or even needed as they found a winner.
The $20k winning ticket is probably in the trash can of someone and to that person Ron Jenkins says “thank-you” as he received his $10k check.
“If everyone who got this piece of mail showed up, all prizes would have been claimed,” Missy Nash, office manager at Luv Ford, said. And Bryan Mcrae, the General Manager added, “if you get one of these from us, it’s worth dropping by to see. While we don’t know exactly where the winner lived-exactly, he or she was within two minutes of us this time.”
“This is where we are from,” Diane Norman, sales professional at Luv Ford said. “These are our people, and it’s great to see someone get $10k, but we are really wanting to see that winner come in.”
Nash went on to add that is exactly what they will do if and when they do another, guaranteeing big checks if the winners don’t show until they do.
Furthermore, Luv Ford will be announcing some huge news on chances to win even bigger, and some have already qualified.
“Who luv’s ya Oklahoma?” Ron Jenkins will tell you - Luv Ford in Henryetta.
