Final Summer Reading Program held
On Monday, July 24, Amber Mordecai came to the Henryetta Public Library Summer Reading Program and talked to the kids about “What is a Sasquatch?”
She asked them all kinds of questions about a Sasquatch, such as ‘where does a Sasquatch live?’ Some of the kids answered: the jungle, forest, woods, tennis courts, Nichols Park, Skate Park and Deep Fork.
She also asked them what kinds of foods does a Sasquatch eat? Some of the kids answered ‘leaves.’
She asked them if a Sasquatch might like to eat fish and other types of meat and the kids said ‘yes’.
Amber asked the kids if they thought a Sasquatch might wear clothes or shoes. They answered no because he was too big.
She then told the kids that research showed he wore about a size 17 in a men’s shoe.
Mordecai also asked the kids if Sasquatch went to school or played football. They said ‘no’ because he was too big and scary.
Amber then told the kids that Sasquatch was also known as Big Foot and Yeti and that they can learn more about Sasquatch at the Big Foot Museum in Talihina, Hochatown and the Big Foot Symposium in Stilwell. She also encouraged the kids to keep on reading.
Children have until August 7 to receive their prizes.
Keep on reading!
