The host Morris Lady Eagles took both county meetings, winning the opening contest by a 12-0 margin, then taking the nightcap by a 16-2 advantage.
The Morris diamond squad - ranked 13th in Class 4A - improved to 13-1 on the season with the doubleheader sweep and was back in action Monday with a trip to Henryetta for a 3-team showdown with Tahlequah and the host Henryetta Lady Knights and were also on the road Tuesday, traveling to Muskogee for a doubleheader showdown with the Muskogee Lady Roughers.
Beggs was also in action Monday and Tuesday with a home-and-home series with Liberty (Mounds).
In last Thursday’s opening county battle, the Lady Eagles began the scoring with six runs in the home half of the first, then added four in the second and two in the third for the 12-0 decision.
The Lady Demons were held to just two hits in the contest - singles by Cali Carter and Jorrian Fields.
The top hitter for the host Lady Eagles was Jessica Wilson, who finished 3 for 3 with a pair of singles, a double, and an RBI.
Fire Clark also had a multi-hit game for Morris in the shutout win, going 2 for 2 with a pair of singles and 2 RBIs.
The other Lady Eagle base hits in Game 1 came on a single by Briley Cagle, an RBI single by Courtney Wallace, a 2-run single by Ally Guynes, a 3-run double by Emma Duclos, and a 2-run home run in the first by Marti Yaerger.
In last Thursday’s nightcap, the Lady Demons tallied their two runs in the bottom of the second.

Beggs’ three base hits in the contest came on a single by Cali Carter, double by Alexis Tecumseh, and a 2-run double by Havana Baldridge.
Marti Yaerger was top offensively for Morris, going 3 for 3 with two singles, a double, and 4 RBIs.
The Lady Eagles also had multi-hit games from Maddie Moore (2 for 3, single, triple, 2 RBIs), Emma Duclos (2 for 2, single, double, 2 RBIs), and Ashlyn Clevenger (2 for 2, 2 singles, RBI) with two hits apiece.
The final base hit for Morris in Game 2 of the twinbill came on a single by Courtney Wallace.
