This past Thursday, the Okmulgee County Conservation District hosted an Urban/ Soil Health workshop at OSU Extension office. Tyler Tran with NRCS spoke to the attendees about the federal programs for Okmulgee County Producers.
Joshua Kouri, Urban Soil Health Specialist with Oklahoma County Conservation District and Jack Titchener Environmental Specialist with Tulsa County, came and covered topics including Properties of Soil health for homeowners, Composting & Mulching, and cover crops.
Okmulgee County Conservation District supplied lunch to around 30 participants then after lunch they toured the Okmulgee Community Garden. Special thanks to Okmulgee Community garden for allowing the group to tour their facilities. A thank you to everyone that attended.
