After 95 years in operation, a business learns a lot. But the most important lesson, according to Diana Agee of Burnett’s, is “treat the customer right.” Burnett Furniture celebrated its 95th anniversary with a sale. They credit their longevity to hard work, faithful customers, and loyal employees. The business was started in 1903 by G.W. Burnett and later Diana’s father, W.J. Burnett, and Uncle Bob Burnett, ran the store. In 1958, the Agees began running the business and here they still are today. They say they feel lucky to have had the business open so long and are proud they have become the business people trust for their furniture needs. “It is about the customers. Without the people, we wouldn’t have a business at all and we so very much appreciate their loyalty and faithfulness over the years,” Diana said.
