The Henryetta Lady Knight varsity slowpitch softball team suffered their first loss of the 2023 season Tuesday evening in Bristow.
The first setback of the season came by a narrow 4-3 margin to the host Bristow Lady Pirates.
The Lady Knights were back in action Thursday at the Depew Tournament.
In Tuesday’s road meeting with Bristow, both teams tallied two runs in their half of the first for a 2-2 tie after one inning of action.
The score remained deadlocked at 2-2 until the top of the sixth when the Lady Knights plated a run in the frame to take over the lead, 3-2.
The host Lady Pirates took over the lead at 4-3 with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth, while the Henryetta offense was unable to produce any runs in the top of the seventh to suffer the 4-3 setback.
The top hitter for the Lady Knights in Bristow was Graci Lollis, who finished 2 for 3 with a pair of singles and an RBI.
McKayla Greenhaw also had a multi-hit game for Henryetta on Tuesday, going 2 for 4 with a single and double.
The other Lady Knight base hits against Bristow came on a single by Chloe Swearingen, double by Winter Beaver, RBI single by Brooklyn Baughman, and RBI double by Ailanee Hicks.
