His dad being a career Navy officer, London and his brother Jeff lived all over the country with their parents, including Puerto Rico. He studied history and social sciences at San Jose State University, receiving his MA in both. He also started writing poetry while in college. Following college, he joined a San Francisco dance company and traveled the world.
London and his wife Maureen and two sons, Aaron and Sean, live in rural northern California, where they backpack in the summer, play in winter snow and dance all year long. He did not start writing until he was 45 years old. He told his two sons’ stories and they liked them so much, he wrote them down as picture books. His first two books were published in 1992, “Thirteen Moons on Turtle’s Back” and “The Lion Who Had Asthma.”
London has written and published some two hundred poems and short stories in literary magazines and over one hundred twenty books since 1992.
Our library has only one of his (B-2) books, “What Do You Love?”
